Amazing food!! Very relaxed atmosphere and fun, personable staff! A concerned staff member even helped a lady to her car because she was having trouble walking...true southern hospitality and genuinely kind people! The food was outstanding and it is definitely worth stopping by if you're in the mood for some great bbq!

I'm spending a few days in Memphis, and as a fan of the DDD show, I did some research on the best place in the area to try. This was at the top of the list, so I found it and hoped for the best. I have to tell you, this place IS everything you would expect in a top notch barbecue restaurant, or dive. The owner was there when I walked in and he was very welcoming. Once he found out it was my first time there, and I was from halfway across the country, he treated me like royalty. I ordered the two-meat combo, which I got, along with an additional plate with a little of everything else on the menu. All of it was absolutely wonderful, and the greek inspired dry rub made it even better. It was so much food I had to take some back to my hotel room. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to be back in Memphis, but if I am, I will certainly eat here again!!!

I wish I could give Tom's B-B-Q 10 stars!!!!!  Adam (owner, chef and greeter) couldn't have been more kind and hospitable. On top of that, the food was delicious and plentiful. Coming all the way from New York, this stop alone was worth the trip. This is southern hospitality at it's finest.

Triple D must! The BBQ mouthwatering. The portions gigantic. The service hospitable. The owner extremely personable. We overindulged on: chopped pork, dry rubbed ribs, porkchops, rib tips & smoked sausage. Being from North Carolina and biased towards Carolina style I can say Tom's BBQ was top notch. The sides were also delicious but opted to save calories for the meaty indulgences. The overall experience was memorable & Adam's customer service was flawless. He made the experience even more pleasurable. Well done! :*

Glad we stopped. Rib tips and the ribs were great. The sauce is awesome. Fast too!! In and out back on the road in about 30 minutes. We'll do this again when we drive thru Memphis.

This BBQ was fantastic--so glad we went.  Adam met us at the door as we came in and made us feel right at home.  Told him that this was our first time, and that we saw it on DDD, so he made sure to give us lots of extras to take with us.  Loved the baby back ribs and the BBQ bologna--also loved the combination of dry rub and sauce on the ribs.  Fun to see a person doing something he is so passionate about, not to mention how good he is at it.  Thanks Adam for a great time--if we are back in Memphis again, this will be a must-stop place to visit.

Best BBQ ever - I love the rub he uses on the meats, plus his sauce is not too vinegary.  I think the rib tips are okay, but his baby back ribs are to die for!  Tom is a wonderful host who loves having DDD fans drop in.  I go every time I go to Memphis!

Having spent most of my years here in the Mid South, I find this true 'Memphis BBQ' in that it is a guy from this area 'doing his thing'.  It is non-traditional  Memphis BBQ. It is also unbelieveably good. Best time of day is lunch, or right after the lunch rush.  If you are making a tour of Memphis Commercial BBQ, put this lower on your list.  Taste the more traditional flavors and styles first.  This will then rock your world.  Yes, be sure to tell Adam this is your first visit.  If necessary, go find someone on the street and drag them with you.  A truly special restaurant. .

Second best BBQ (behind The Joint in NOLA) I have had.  They have a fun "First Timer's Sample" they give if you tell them it is your first time.  It includes the BBQ balogna, which actually was interestingly good.  Huge portions.  We were on a road trip, stopped for lunch, and had the rest along the side of the road that evening for supper.

We had a great time, went in search of this place to try one of the DDD places.... Tom was there and was such a gracious host. We mentioned that we saw it on FoodTV and he treated us like family. THe food was amazing, and we were fed plenty of it! He was great. It was a little confusing when you walk in, what to do, because it is a little bit of a dive, there are a lot of regulars there, so it was probably not good on our part of going at a busy lunch time. But there were no problems.
