Awesome meal for the family. Had the shrimp-n-grits and they were awesome. My wife had the grilled shrimp and chicken combo, oldest daughter had the shrimp po boy an youngest daughter had the grilled chicken Alfredo. Nothing but good all around comments. Dessert is really good too! Chocolate pie and cake and coconut cream pie! Awesome!

We ate at a seafood place back in the 70's. Been trying find it because I forgot name. I know it was a drive around a lake or river and it was like a shack off the road with dirt parking I believe. The best seafood. Could this be it? Was the old building destroyed?

I used to eat at the old place quite often in the 80's and early 90's when i was stationed at Keesler AFB. Never had anything but great food there. I will tell you that the old place wasn't much to look at but the food made the difference.

My son and I went to the Blow Fly for lunch on our way to the Superdome for Monday Night Football.  I tried to keep my expectations low because it was Monday.  We were both very pleased with the food and the service.  I ordered the stuffed flounder (I didnt think I could get it for lunch) and it was exactly like it was prepared for DDD, Jarrett had the barbequed shrimp and we shared the sides and the entree's.  This place was wonderful, the staff was very friendly and the food was excellent, if your on I-10 going East or West take the 3 mile side trip, it's well worth it.

A don't miss and get there early for lunch. Food is great, and large portions. Very Good Lunch Specials, left full. Food Value is excellent and a nice backwater view. Make a point to go there if your visiting local Casinos.

the shrimp and grits was ridiculously good.  there was this amazing battered deep fried grit cake sitting on top of a bowl of fat shrimp, sausage, sauted onions, peppers, and shrooms in this amazing perfectly seasoned cream sauce.  i wanted to lick the bowl!!!!!!!

Excelent! I had the She-Crab bisque to start with and it was perfect. The only thing the shrimp tomatoes were missing is that the green tomatoes are not "in season" and I think that held the taste back. Definite return trip.

We took a large group (18) and they did a great job of seating us, getting our orders right and getting the delicious food out to us in a timely manner.  The setting was lovely and the service a delight.  The group ordered everything from beef, seafood, chicken and pork and everyone raved about their food.  Definitely worth driving a bit out of the way to check it out!

We stopped here after a long drive and it was great!  The people were very friendly and the food was wonderful.  We had the fried pickles and crawfish, red beans and rice and the crabcakes.  all was great, I think the crabcakes were the best of the entree.  They have a great selection of homemade desserts, we had the carrot cake and lemon blueberry....both really moist and sweet but not too much so.  Wish we lived closer!
