The Bayway Diner is closed. The original owner was awesome. The food was the best and the place shined like a mirror. When he sold the diner because of personal family matters, the new owner really sucked. The food was nasty and the place was filthy. I want to buy the diner and make it shine once more and guaranteed nobody would get food poisoning. Does anyone have any contact information for the Diner? very interested in purchasing it.

Are these guys closed now? We got there around 1:30pm this afternoon and there was a tractor trailer parked across all of the parking spaces and the place was dark. Yesterday afternoon we watched D,D & Dives and they did a follow up story showing how awesome the place was doing. Any word on this? We want to support the great local places...

they are not closed.....they close at 4pm so get there earlyyyyyyyy....its alwayssss packed even tiny inside.

Trust me, its a good thing that it closed. My husband works for Conoco Phillips and Bayway's lunch truck was banned from the there because their food gave a few workers food poisoning. I even heard that the diner closed because the owner was having an affair with a Conoco employee and his wife found out.

The Bayway IS CLOSED!!! We drove all the way up to Linden to chack it out, but no lcuk! We even tried calling the number on the diner sign but no answer or answering machine. It's too bad, we were looking forward to it. No big burger for us>>>>

The BELLY BUSTER is the BEST Breakfast Sandwich I have ever had!...I wish I could have tried the Monster Burger...Next time I am in NJ I'm going to try one,

The Bayway diner that I grew up with was on the corner of Bayway and So. Broad St in Elizabeth, NJ. I know that diner is no longer there. Is this a reincarnation?

STILL OPEN ! Hidden treasure...!!!! Great Place to eat small so take it to go. Great people had luch today and its 10:00 pm and I am still full. :) WOW

Hungry? Order up the Monster Burger! Double beef patties, bacon, pork roll, lettuce and tomato on a kaiser bun, served with fries. If you're going for lunch, go early, cause it gets packed and the place only seats six!!! Take this meal to go, you'll need elbow to enjoy it. Also, the chili dogs are good! Dog has a nice crunch and chili is spicy but not hot. Can't go wrong with either.
