We first went there before it became a DDD.  We were walkng on Guadelupe while visiting Santa Fe and the menu appealed to us so we dropped in.  No disappointment.  Good creativity, good service, good prices.  There are a lot of good dining choices in Santa Fe but we liked this one enough to make it a repeat.

April 23, 2011:  We expected to find better than normal food but got standard diner food which you would find anywhere.  It was good, just not as good as we expected.  My son and I had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and it was just mediocre.  The steak was a thin round chunk of meat with an unremarkable crust.  it reminded me of something you could buy frozen at the supermarket.  My daughter had a good blt sandwich on thick texas toast.  My wife had the blue corn chicken enchilada.  Again, good but not great.  We wondered if it had undergone a managment change since the episode aired.

I think I missed the best they had to offer.  I wound up having the Fried Goat Cheese Field Green Salad.  The Fried Goat Cheese was Spectacular.  I wasn't too impressed with the atmosphere or the service, but it was rather slow the night I went.  If you're headed here I'd give the New Mexico style meatloaf a try as I think this is what they are mainly known for.

Stopped in for breakfast. Not many people there. The hostess sat everyone in the sun, very hot on that end of the place. Waited for a long time for the waitress. Our food was overcooked, sausage and eggs were hard. The toast was stale, the potatoes were a hard clump. We complained to the waitress: she told us "that's the way they cook there". Horrible.

The wife and I stopped @ Zia's @ 2PM today and ate outside under the canopy even though it was 93 degrees. She had the crab sliders with a side of sweet potatoe fries, I had the beef sliders with the homemade chips sprinkles with blue cheese. Both were very good. The staff was freindly and did a good job.

This place was awesome!! U gotta try the smoked salmon quesadilla--wicked good. Pomegranite margarita was out of this world. We recent hit 5 of 10 of the places in NM and this by far topped the list!

This place is open all day and near the plaza.  They offer a lot of all types of food from their meatloaf to fish and chips to New Mexican food. We had a special of Green Chile Chicken Stew that was a large portion and very good.  We also had the fish and chips that were good but not great.  For an appetiser we have the artichoke parmesan dip with bread that was really good.  It is a decent place but with so many good restaurants in the area I would probably pass on it in the future.
