We stumbled onto this gem while searching google for steakhouse. I will say that the appearance as a steakhouse is deceiving . We did not know that it was a DDD location. We shy'd away from the Marinated Ribeye but we did have traditional ribeye and it was good. Chicken Fried steak was awesome. The smoked sausage was awesome, Armadillo Eggs, OMG the pulled pork filling was so delicious. Fried pickles pretty good. Friendly atmosphere, service was great. Great find and would go back again if I am ever in the area again.

This place is great. Went to 4 DDDs while on a road trip through Texas. Loved this place. Generous portions. Cooked to perfection. Friendly service. Great atmosphere. The Tom's Dude (chicken fried steak sandwich) is huge and mouth watering with a side of gravy to dunk it in. The Smoked Sausage is wonderful. Tom's Campfire at $5 during Happy Hour is more than enough to fill you. It's cooked rare to med rare in the kitchen, then brought out to you with a small bowl-sized grill for you to finish it to your liking, (three 3-4 oz slices). Will be back again 4 sure.

Visited T-Bone Tom's while on a Texas road trip. Was the second DDD stop out of 4 on this trip. It was great. Large portions. Cooked to perfection. Tom's Dude (Chicken Fried Steak sandwich) was humongous. Came with some gravy on the side to either dip it in or [pour on it. The Tom's Campfire, at only $5 during happy hour, is almost enough to fill two people (especially if ordering a side or two with it). They cook three 3-4 oz pieces of steak rare to med rare and send it out with a small bowl size fired grill for you to finish them the way you like them. The Smoked Sausage is wonderful. Wonderful atmosphere (inside and outside seating). Friendly service.

Portions are ridiculously huge. The kids' chicken fried steak fingers would feed a large man. If that's what you're up for, have fun. The BLT had a lot of bacon, but it was thinly sliced and greasy. Tomatoes were anemic. I don't understand the excitement about the Armadillo eggs, more deep fried meat. Adult plates had about 4 cups of steak fries each. No joke. Bread pudding was okay, but again huge portion. 5x5x5 square. I didn't expect health food, but didn't expect a heart attack on a plate either.

I had a business trip to Houston and found myself with some free time. So, I decided to give T-bone Toms a try. Got there during the noon rush hour. Every table was full. I was by myself, so I sat at the counter. It was suggested that I try the "Trike". A sandwich with sliced beef, pulled pork, sausage, grilled onions, and jalapeƱos. Wow! It was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place. Service was great and wait staff was very warm and friendly.

I've been going to Galveston all my life and never noticed Kemah until I
saw it on DDD. So I visited Kemah for the 1st time this past weekend
just to try TBone Tom's. First, let me tell you that I loved, loved,
loved the City of Kemah. Now, TBone Tom's, it was great. The customer
service was great and the food was worth the trip. You've got to try
the Shark Eggs. I will definitely return.

We like trying different restraunts when traveling. The Armidillo Eggs are great. I was very disappointed with the season ribeye. The steak was very blan. If you are traveling through kemah stop and order the armidillo eggs (stuff pepper with BBQ)

We met a friend and her son here in August 2010.  Very great food in a fun atmosphere, in a very fun part of the Houston gulf.  A must stop spot for the whole family!

My late wife Shirley and I used to dine at T-Bone Tom's back in the early 90's. The food, service, and staff was great. I need to make my way back to Kemah real soon.

Just ate at T-Bone Toms, the Fried shrimp were great.  My wife had the Grilled Chicken which was tender and very good she said.  The salads were cold and the ranch dressing was awesome.  Was raining tonight so no live band, but we went to the Backyard after dinner and had a drink and the Palapa is awesome to sit under, especially during the rain....

Not a pleasant experience.  We were told they could not tell us how long the wait would be for a table.  After waiting an 1hr and 1/2, we figured out they have separate hostesses for inside and outside seating.  We were waiting to sit outside, because we were not told there was a separate inside list.  After going inside to investigate, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait, because the inside could tell us how long the wait would be.  I put our name on the inside list and went back to wait for the first table available, either outside or inside.  After 35 minutes, our table was finally available inside.  We got seated, and the food took forever to get to the table.  All in all, we were there about 3 1/2 hours!!!  Food was alright but nothing special.  All hype!  We even complained to the manager, but he left our table and was never seen again.  They did not compensate for their lack of customer service.  They take your cell phone number down to call you when your table is ready, so they knew we were from out of town by my area code and neglected to notify us of their procedures.  I will not be returning.

Good bbq, good sides, good sauce, good patio, nice service, nice location and good price(beats the over priced kemah boardwalk resturants and is just a very short walking distance away). Would ask for sauce on the side next time though because I find they put too much on.
