Had dinner here on 6/6/2012 and it was very good. I had Triple-tail over red beans and rice with a creole sauce. Food was excellent. Only complaint was on the drink ordered. Ordered JW Black on the rocks and was served a glass that was 1/2 filled. Had to order a double to get a decent drink.

I was very dissappointed with this place. The fries that came with the kids meal were the best thing on the menu!  We started with the fritters, which were pretty good (only three) and only luke warm in the middle.  For dinner we had the shrimp and grits (pretty tasty), the low country boil (totally bland and boring) and the crab cake (terrible). Of our meal choices, Guy Fieri had tried the low country boil and the fritters on his show.  Yikes!!! The low country boil was so bland, not an ounce of seasoning. The crab cakes tasted old and you could bearly find the crab in them.  They were greasy and the dipping sauces were less then adequate.  Not mention all of this mediocre food was $85 for two adults and a child....not worth it.

This is the best restaurant on the island, very friendly and competent staff and the owner is hands on, greeting everyone at every table. Blackwater Grill has been open 10 years this December and the experience is always the best!!!
