Was a nice place not dirty! staff seemed pleasant. Ice cream tasted good would recommend this place for dessert.

Place is a dump... It's filthy and ice cream was nothing special at all. I'd be afraid to eat food from there, but I'd never go back anyway. Definitely would not recommen.

Brought back many memories! I worked there when I was 16-17 (1949-50) with Henry Hildebrandt, Henry Schriever, Millie (the waitress) and my fellow "Soda Jerks" from school. Best ice cream and homemade candy ever made!

Paid a visit on 8/14/2012 at 7:30 pm. and were the last ones to leave at about 8:45 Had the mozzarella sticks and portabello mushroom for appetizer.Stuffed eggplant and fusilli asiago for dinner. Appetizers were ok. The main dishes could have used a bit more seasoning of salt. Dessert was ice cream. The service was ok but the place could really use a good cleaning. It just had that dirty feeling. The thing that really turned me off was that I had just watched my server put 2 bags of garbage into a garbage can and pushed them way down . He came over to us to order dessert and I wanted the remainder of the meal wrapped to go. He took my plate WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS and went to the counter and dumped it into a container . Then he brought the dessert and to go bag. I didn't say anything and politely left my bag on the table when I left because I didn't want it after that but an employee brought it outside to me . We were disappointed overall.

Paid a visit on 7/28/2012 at about 9 pm for the home made ice cream. Very disappointed!! The workers were unfriendly. The place needed some soap and water, and the ice cream was not fresh. I had the maple walnut and my wife had the butter pecan. The ice cream had bits of ice particles in it leading me to believe it was in the cooler too long. I've had better ice cream in Baskin Robbins or from Ben and Jerrys. I don't know when triple D was there but I guess they had time to clean up and make fresh ice cream before going on TV. If you want fresh home made ice cream in a clean and welcoming place I recommend Krisch's of Massapequa, NY.
