Glad we stopped! It was a fantastic breakfast stop for our trip in Colorado. The food was great, and Robin is awesome! Glad we went out of the way and stopped!

DDD fan and was quite disappointed in this experience. Krautburger was bland, sausage roll was also bland ( could have used some kraut) You have to pay 50 cents for their honey mustard, and they only had 1 bottle left at 12:30 PM whats up with that. Cookie was hard as a rock and they did not have any Kouga. Staff did not seem to welcome you either. Not worth the trip. Drive 30 miles north to Schwartz's Krautburger Kitchen, Inc. Evans, CO for a great Krauburger. The Chicken, Broccoli Cheese is the bomb and they had Kouga too. Much bigger and more filling. Found it on Yelp. Worth the drive.

Stopped by here onĀ  Saturday afternoon on our way to Yellowstone. My wife loves kraut so after seeing Lauer Krauts on DDD we decided to try it. We arrived at 4pm and did not realize that they were in the process of closing. Robin invited us in and took our order. We had the Jack Cheese Kraut Burger with potato soup. The bread around the burger had an amazing taste as well as the whole burger. It would be worth going here if you only had the potato soup. While the food was great, it cannot compare with the friendliness of Robin and her staff. They made us feel like long time friends and talked with us quite awhile even though it was passed closing time. When we realized they were closing, we try to leave, but Robin insisted we stay. Took pictures with Robin then she suggested that she take our picture next to Guy's poster. This place is a winner. Definitely 5 stars.

The daily soup is worth the drive -- we had the corn chowder the day we went. Wonderful, creamy and full of corn. They are known for the kraut burgers -- but thought the bread was dry. The filling is good, and extremely flavorful. Don't forget to try Grandma's Carrot Cake!

The best food ever, the honey mustard is to die for.  the area is so comfy, a chiorpractor on one side a hair salon on the other. The senior center across the street.

That actually is originally called a Beirrock and it came from Germany and Austria. But it makes sense that you would find one at a German restaurant. Definitely delicious. The germans definitely know their food.

This place is awesome!  The soup is absolutely wonderful!  Kraut Burgers are also great and their sausage!  It is so hometown and the owners are fabulous!

Krautburgers are unique to Colorado, I think.  It is bread dough filled with a mixture of cooked ground beef, onion, and chopped cabbage then baked.  Good cold or hot and great to take along to sporting events as they are tidy and delicious.
