"M & V Soul Food Restaurant in Smyrna, TN"
M&V Soul Food Restaurant in Smyrna, TN. The hot water cornbread is simply the best. I have never liked cornbread. All their food is made from scratch. The peach cobbler is not to sweet, the peaches do not taste like it came from a can, has the right amount of texture. Of every restaurant I always avoid these two things on the menu because the peach cobbler it is too sweet, been left out too long, or the texture is too mushy and the cornbread is either dry, bland, or has a slightly bitter aftertaste. They offer a sample of fried pickles at the beginning of your meal and also a sample of their peach cobbler and homemade banana pudding. One website, urbanspoon.com, gives them a 5 out of 5 rating and you can judge the comments from their website. They also have bizarre food from Rocky Mtn. Oysters, brains and eggs, chitlins, and a few other things that I never heard of. However, if their cornbread was that good to make me a believer, I am definitely willing to try it.
