"Biltmore Bar & Grille in Newton, MA"
Dear Triple D Crew- Thank you for the opportunity to introduce you to The Biltmore, just outside Boston, in Newton MA. I am hoping that our fans may have emailed you about us but I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t. Many people have driven past this 93 year old establishment not realizing what’s inside. This 120 seat bar and restaurant hasn’t changed much over the decades. Originally built with a 3 lane basement bowling alley, the Biltmore opened at 7AM for beer and breakfast when nearby factory workers got off the night shift. During Prohibition, it was thought to have been a speakeasy. The tin ceiling and dark wood paneling are still there. The original old growth wood floor has beat the odds and stood strong against tough New England weather. This is a true tuck away. With tech and industry zones down the road, you feel like time has slowed considerably when you hit the Biltmore block. An old fashioned dry cleaner and barber shop complete the “retail center” on the quiet unassuming street. The Biltmore is an authentic neighborhood joint. No corporate restaurant group or Hollywood designer could ever recreate the vibe you feel as soon as you walk in. Once you’re in, the food and beverage take you to present day, with a great mix of tradition and new twists that treat. Chef Dave left the Beantown celebrity spin cycle to do what he really loves- Work with a couple of honest joints serving it up hot and fresh. He is the real deal and interviews well.
