"Biscuits & Barbeque in Mineola, MN"
On Sunday afternoon I had lunch at an out of the way little restaurant in Mineola, (Long Island) NY that just shouted out to me "Guy needs to absolutely come to this place! It belongs on triple D!" Barbecue and Biscuists, located on East 2nd Street in Mineola, in a chrome diner car, promises 'traditional Louisiana cooking on Long Island '. Among their specialties are large, fluffy biscuits with cream gravy (with andouille sausage), alligator tails, crawfish and jambalaya. But the dish that makes me want to shout "Come here triple D!" is the chicken fried bacon. The chicken fried part is light and crispy and the bacon is wonderful (what could possibly be bad about bacon?). If you would like to check them out, their owners Tom Sullivan and Joan Gallo have a Facebook page and a website www.biscuitsandbarbecue.com I look forward to being there when Guy pulls up in his red convertible! He will NOT regret another visit to Long Island. Thanks! Mary K
