2/10/14 Tried to go there last week & found a big banner on the front of the place that said under new management, but it was closed on a Saturday night at 730, not sure what all that means at this point.

Had breakfast on July 16, 2013 and must say the Bloody Mary was great, nice and spicy and perfect for a sore throat. Had the Corn Beef Hash and it was the bomb along with the grits. Good coffee and great service. Highly recommend.

someone tell me this place has opened since '95. I lived less than 100 yards north of this location at that time and as a huge fan of the show it would gut me to think I had, had a chance to visit one of the featured diners and missed it.

I recently read a post on http://parallelmtg.com/ that featured Skylark Diner, so I decided to give it a try since I was in the Edison area. I was pleasantly surprised for a NJ diner. The food is a little more gourmet and upscale than regular diners at very reasonable prices. The menu constantly changes and the chef likes to be innovative with the food. The burgers are simply delicious- I tried the St. Louis burger! Yum. They also have a great drink menu- ask for the Snicker's martini- it's divine. I will definitely be coming back !!

The food is good -- I really liked the corned beef hash and the pastrami omelette.  What makes this place is the cocktails and the decor -- totally retro-sexy martini-time fabulous!

Same menu as Americana Diner in Hightstown.  Some dishes are great (Fritatta Mediteranean),  others too salty (Maryland Benedict), others just plain bland (Cinnamon French Toast).

We went back east on our summer vacation and made it a point to visit one place from D,D&D.  The Skylark was it.  We were not dissapointed.  The place is amazingly clean and surprisingly upscale.  Definitely not a dive.  The food was excellent.  Try one of the burgers.  Big and Juicy.  The servers are dressed like professionals with white shirts and ties and this professionalism comes through in their jobs.  Our water glasses were always full and all our needs taken care of.  Next time I'm in New Jersey, I'm going back!

JUST WANT TO LET U KNOW THAT THIS PLACE HAS GREAT FOOD AND MANAGEMENT. COLINE AND TURI (MAY NOT HAVE SPELLED IT RIGHT) MAKE YOUR VISIT PERFECT. THEY ALONG WITH KATIE THE WAITRESS KEEP US COMMMING BACK EACH WEEK. EACH SUNDAY WE BRING OUR GRANDCHILDREN FOR SUNDAY BREAKFAST (WHICH IS ALWAYS A WINNER) AND WE DO STOP IN DURING THE WEEK. TRY IT AND I THINK U WILL LIKE IT.
