Not sure about some of these older post but they must have gone to some other place because this place is great the food the service as for the decor well it's a mom n pop restaurant. I really liked when the hostess came over to a table with a small child being a little out of controll and she said to the parents if they could not quiet their child they would have to leave. She said that she would rather offend the parents then to offend the whole restaurant.will go back again again and again live this place

It was everything Guy said it was. The cream of crab and the crab cake was one of the best I have ever ate. Stuffed and fried shrimp were perfection and the stuffed shrimp had almost a whole crab cake on them. The salad was fresh and the little pichers of Tea were devine. I live on the Eastern Shore in Maryland and we love seafood, this place is a must try the food was outstanding, thanks Guy

We live just north of Philadelphia and were in the area while out on a nice Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride. Stopped at the Stoney Creek Inn for some lunch after seeing it on this website. We were so happy to see that our drinks came in a small pitcher as after a 3 hour ride we sure were thirsty. Our server Jenna was the best. Everything she suggested from the Seafood Skins, Grilled Mahi Mahi, Crab Cakes to the Nutty Buddy Desert they make on site was right on point. You may want to order the kids size Nutty Buddy as they are a good size. She also suggested the locally made Smith Island Coconut Cake. So delicious. We can't wait to go back with more friends to enjoy this local dive. Great Food, Great Service. Jenna even offered us to go cups so we would have a drink for our long ride back home. Being a baseball fan I would have to say the Stoney Creek Inn hit a Grand Slam.

If I could give this a 0 I would. Saw it on Diners Drive In's and Dives so I decided to go check it out. We got Oysters and Hush Puppies for starters, which were good, but anyone can make those. Ordered a crab cake with fries for my main course as did the person I was with. After 25 minutes we got our starters. 15 minutes later she took our starter plates away. We then waited 30 minutes and was told our food was coming right out. Another 15 minutes went by and our food certainly never "came right out" like she said. We decided at that point it was time to go. Almost an hour and a half there and didn't even get to try their crab cake. Guy let me down with his recommendation on this place big time.

Food was tasteless and greasy. Service pretty much sucked and the place was nowhere near full

I took HWY 50 from CA to MD looking for this place after seeing it on DDD. I was not disappointed. The service was a little slow, but the gal did her best. I had the stuffed flounder. It was cooked perfectly. The crab cake was just as advertises, great. My buddy had the stuffed shrimp and was very pleased. I was sorry I couldn't eat a few more lunches.

Service was okay.  Veg crab soup was great.  Crabcakes are great but thats about all.  Combo plater ($23.99) came with 2 overly breaded shrimp, 2 overly breaded oysters, a frozen triangle of mystery fish like fish sticks out of your local supermarket.  The saving grace I guess was the crab cake, nice an chunky and little filler.  Fries with semi raw and soggy, hushpuppies were hard and burnt.  Outside of the crab the rest would have been better from Long John Silvers.  No quality control on a non-wait saturday night. This is the worst Tripple D i have had.  Pass on this one

    Crab Fluff

  • Posted by cjo September 2010

The best crab cakes I have ever had.  And the Crab Fluff was the most amazing thing ever!! Wish we lived closer to be able to go back!

My friend and I ate there last week.  I had the chicken chesapeake and she had the stuffed shrimp.  We were given so much food that we could barely finish it.  Our server, Christina was very pleasant and attentive.  I definite will have to come back, and maybe I'll run into Fieri.

A friend and I went there today.  The portions were so large that we couldnt finish.  The Chicken Chesapeake wasnt the best that I had, but it was very good.  I definitely see myself coming back to try the crabs.  What really made the experience was our server, Christina.  She was pleasant and attentive. I'll be back.

The crab cakes and fried oysters were soooo good! Best I've ever had! The crab dip, cucumber salad, sweet potato fries, and coleslaw was also fabulous! The nutty buddies were huge and my 4 yr olds eyes were bulging when they brought them to the table, lol

Easily the best crabcakes I have ever had.  It was well worth the 90 minute drive for this experience.  Darlene was our server and she was exceptional.  The crabcakes are huge and cooked to perfection.  We have been back 2 times since, bringing family members and friends.  Make sure you have the cole slaw and the sweet potato fries.  The crab dip is great too.

Just arrived home from a 170 mile 'round-trip visit to Stoney Creek Inn. I'm not a big seafood fan but my wife absolutely loves crab-cakes and that's the reason we went. She said theirs are definitely among the better she's eaten and she was very glad we made the trip. Myself, I had a hamburg which was good, cooked just as I prefer but find it difficult to get. As for the service, while we may have been forgotten for a short while on the deck, Darlene was still awesome, very personable and attentive to our needs, just an all around nice lady that has the ability to put one at ease just as if you were visiting her house. Great lady, I'd give it 5 stars if a could designate the fifth just for her pleasant attitude.
