We got there as the lunch rush was winding down, so plenty of seating. Staff was very friendly, and Nadine herself took a few minutes to chat with us. The hot roast beef sandwich was absolutely the best we had ever had! And we were blown away by the price- under six bucks! We will definately go again if we're ever in Pittsburgh!

We came from out of town and arrived late at Nadine's (about 9:00pm) and when we walked in the door it felt like being in a movie where the music stops and everyone turns to look at you. The place was filled with locals and regulars and it felt like we were intruding. The food was just OK but the bar tender/waitress was very nice. Overall, we didn't really enjoy ourselves because we felt so uncomfortable and felt out of place. I think this place would be best enjoyed during the daytime, when Nadine is around.

I stopped by on a recent trip to Pennsylvania.  I had a number of issues finding the joint.  It took me about an hour, mainly because I was on the North side of the river. Be prepared that this is first and foremost a bar and there can be a lot of cigarette smoke. I had the Roast Beef sandwich and fries with gravy.  It was ok.  Nothing to write home about, but it was good and reasonably priced. Will I stop in the next time I'm in Pittsburgh?  No.  Once is enough.

Nadines is great.  The people were nice and the food was awesome.  They load your plate up as you will see from the picture.  Nadines is small and does get a little warm inside from the ovens.  Awesome roast beef and gravy!!! I went with the fries instead of the mashed potatoes.  Enjoy!!! :)

What a lame post.  Man up and go to an ATM.  Nobody cares that you travel.

First off let me say, Nadine's is DEFINITELY a dive.  Mostly a bar with about 10 tables.  Filled with locals and regulars.  Nadine was no where to be found, but the guy who waited on us was wonderfully polite and helpful.  We started off with an order (6) of buffalo wings which were the entire wing, so it's like getting a dozen someplace else.  Greg ordered the reuben and I had the fish sandwich.  He said it was the best reuben he'd ever had.  Fish was pretty tasty too.  Definitely will visit again even though it took me a year to finally give in to Greg and visit there.  Gonna start trusting Guy more.

I just called this resteraunt and was told they dont take American Express,  I travel a ton and it is to much of a hassle to not use my Corp Amex.   I have eaten at 8 -12 of Guys resteraunts, and I hate to miss this one but no Amex not visit.   Let me know how the food is!!!

What a gem!  The hospitality from Nadine, Matt and the crew was wonderful.  We had the fried mac & cheese, reuben, roast beef, fries and home fries both smothered in gravy.  Yummy! Fortunately, our oldest daughter lives in Pittsburgh so we will have opportunities to graze our ways through the entire menu.

My friend Summer and I stopped, just because it was one of Guys Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I can't believe my daughter lived right around the corner and two blocks down and never went there. The food was very good - I had an excellent Rueben, Summer had the hot roast beef sandwich or meatloaf - can't remember which, but we both felt we got excellent value for our money. Very tasty. Nadines is a tiny little bar - with just a few tables - a place with their regulars, who all looked when two strange women walked in. When we mentioned we were here because we saw it on DD&D - they chuckled and went about their business. We were part of the group. I would and will go there again.
