Jenn and I went a couple years ago and were greeted by a guy at the door talking about how they were on the show. I hope they didn't go downhill from there as we had a good time. If you're in Chicago, Jenn & I really liked Kuma's Corner.

My wife and I seen the show, don't live too far from the restaurant, couldn't wait to try it. The food was pretty good. The service was close to horrible. Didn't quite understand why it was so bad, they had american music on the radio, wrote our order in english, but could not communicate with us. It was so frustrating. They made my Cemita wrong and then became angry/rude when I asked for it to be corrected. Tasted good but will not return...so sad.

1/2/10 - Stopped by for lunch, had the chicken burrito and pork cemita.  Very good.  They owner/manager met us at the door to let us know all about is restaurant.  He explained the cemita, it was actually a nice welcome.

Cemitas Puebla was awesome!  Tony and his dad are so nice and took time to explain the menu to me.  I had the Cemita Milanesa and the Taco Arabe and they were delicious!  The Cemita Milanesa was far from a torta--sesame seed bread baked fresh that day with an overabundance of avocado and oaxacan cheese smothering the breaded pork topped with those awesome chipotle peppers they showed on DDD--it was a burst of flavor in your mouth!  The taco arabe was so succulant and flavorful-a very unique Mexican/Lebanese fusion dish that can not be found anywhere else in Chicago!  Cemitas Puebla is a must go to when in Chicago! :)

Okay but nothing special.  Wasn't impressed.  at all.  Far better mexican food in many other chicago spots.  I know they specialize in food from the peubla region, but whatever.  Give me a steak taco from Pasadita's anyday.  To me the cemita seemed like a torta but with an avocado and pepper spread.
