I am from Forest Hills Queens too. And always go to Bagelworks (every sunday) they have the best bagels.. but Flakowitz probably has better homemade food.

Okay, do I have to be from N.Y. to know Deli?  Well, I'm not from Brooklyn, i'm from Forest Hills, Queens.  Does that qualify me? I would always venture south to Boca and Bagel Works, which happens to be very good.  Flakowitz is more like a New York Deli.  Boca is Boca.. you know! Me, oh yes, I know good food...my taste buds aren't dead yet! Good food and good service. Yummy for Flakowitz, Boynton Beach!!!

Well i was very disappointed I have eaten at some very good deli's in my day and this was not one of them.  The matzo ball soup stunk it tasted like it was out of a can.  I'm a foodie i travel to nyc often and this place should really not have been recommended by guy i'm not sure what he ate but what had was terriible.  Sometimes i think he's off the mark with his show's for sure!!!  JD

First trip, very busy, food and service was great but second trip they were not busy they cleaned the table before we were finished, same thing on the third trip. I will never eat at this place again.

This place may have good food, I would never know. I drove up there from Deerfield Beach which is a little over a 30 minute drive. When I arrived I was greeted by a waitress that said we aren't taking people tonight due to Rosh Hashanah, reserved seating only. I am not Jewish so I don't know about Jewish holidays so I was really upset. I looked around and the place didn't even look full to me and they still wouldn't seat me. I told the waitress I drove 30 minutes to get here and they pretty much said to bad. They didn't even offer me a menu to order something from take out. I will never set foot in this place again. Instead I went back and ate a great meal at The Whales Ribs in Deerfield Beach which is another DDD pick. I have been to many famous Deli's and I have never been turned away like this. They will never get a dime of my money now. So this place to me is a place I will steer clear of from now on.

The stuffed cabbage was good - a bit sweeter than I would typically like.  The sandwiches were awesome and huge.  Bread was delicious.  Our only surprise was no beer - we had planned a Saturday night out with friends to hit a DDD spot.  Drove 2 hours to hang out and knock back a cold one - had to settle for ice tea.  Not their fault, I'm just sayin....

Great food!  Just like walking into a NY kosher deli.  The stuffed cabbage is outstanding ... and the sandwiches are all excellent!  Well worth a stop.
