I got to try both the Gravlax appetizer and the Swedish Meatballs.  The Swedish Meatballs were delicious but it feels like a dish that has a ceiling for how good it could be.  Even though it's probably the best Swedish meatballs I've ever had it's the type of dish not to wow me.  The lingonberry sauce made it better and I would want that sauce any time I ever have it.  I would still recommend it if you're a fan of that dish though.

What blew me away was the Gravlax and I believe it's a must-try.  Whether I had the salmon by itself, dipped it in sauce, put it on top of the toasted points, etc. it just kept getting better.  Every variation was different but combining the entire dish was an outstanding experience.  This place is great and a must-visit.  8.9/10

One of the few truly Scandinavian restaurants in town. My parents lived in Denmark and Finaland for over 12 years, and they thought the food was very very authentic. I thought the food was a little on the bland side, as far as flavors were concerned. But then again thats Scandinavian food. The quality was very good, considering it wasnt a very expensive place.

the swedish meatballs sounded so good, i've been trying ti find the recipe. I know on the show it says to go to the food network site under the show and get all the recipes fetured on each show but i can't find it and the only thing i can find is the top 100 recipes. so does anyone know if there is a site that has the recipe or not?

This is a fantastic place for breakfast!!! Everything we ordered was a home run. Our party of 4 ordered several items to try. The waffle was loaded with fresh fruit and whipped cream. The Anders hash and eggs was the best corned beef hash I have eaten. And the crab cake eggs benedict was out of this world!! The service was first class. We are going back tomorrow for round two before we catch our flight back home. I will come here every time I am in Chicago!
