Tango's Empanadas

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tango’s Empanadas in Boise, ID, a popular eatery that was featured on the hit TV show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. As soon as I walked into the cozy restaurant, I was hit with the delicious aromas of various spices and fillings that filled the air.

The owner, Marcela, welcomed me with a warm smile and helped me choose from the impressive array of empanadas on offer. Each one had a unique flavor profile, from the savory beef with chimichurri to the spicy chicken with jalapeno. I decided to go with a mix of flavors and ordered the beef, chicken, and spinach and cheese empanadas.

As I eagerly awaited my order, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant artwork that adorned the walls, depicting the colorful and lively culture of Tango dancing that inspired the restaurant's name. When my empanadas arrived, I was blown away by the size and the quality of each one. The dough was perfectly flaky and crispy on the outside, while the fillings were flavorful and generously portioned.
