I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tango’s Empanadas in Boise, ID, a popular eatery that was featured on the hit TV show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. As soon as I walked into the cozy restaurant, I was hit with the delicious aromas of various spices and fillings that filled the air.
The owner, Marcela, welcomed me with a warm smile and helped me choose from the impressive array of empanadas on offer. Each one had a unique flavor profile, from the savory beef with chimichurri to the spicy chicken with jalapeno. I decided to go with a mix of flavors and ordered the beef, chicken, and spinach and cheese empanadas.
As I eagerly awaited my order, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant artwork that adorned the walls, depicting the colorful and lively culture of Tango dancing that inspired the restaurant's name. When my empanadas arrived, I was blown away by the size and the quality of each one. The dough was perfectly flaky and crispy on the outside, while the fillings were flavorful and generously portioned.
It's no surprise why Tango's Empanadas has become a must-visit spot for foodies and locals alike. Not only are the empanadas delicious, but the friendly service and inviting atmosphere make for a memorable dining experience. If you ever find yourself in Boise, ID, I highly recommend making a stop at Tango's Empanadas to taste the flavors and culture of Argentina.
