i went for breakfast and ordered the menudo. The menudo did not have any flavor. I never received the tortillas the dish claimed it came with. The menudo did not have all the meats it said it had. I guess I ordered the non speacialty dish from them. But don't get me wrong I also tried the tamales and they were delicious.

Mom's Tamales (and tacos!) were *awesome*, and priced ridiculously low -- we ordered extra coz the cheap prices had us figuring the tamales would be kinda small... WRONG! Huge, filling, and the masa was flat out fantastic. We'd eat here 4-5 times a week, every week, if we lived in LA.

I was visiting LA for the weekend, and checked out Mom's Tamales. As a matter of fact, I checked them out twice! The tamales were all very good, with my favorites being the green chicken, beef, and pork. The chile relleno was very good as well. They are worth the trip while in LA.

Drove 65 miles with a hungry boyfriend and 3 "starving kids". I checked the website for hours just the day before. We got there and they were closed. Looked like they were out of business. Such a bummer :(

I went with two family members yesterday. We ordered pork, beef, jalapeno/cheese, spinach/cheese and the last chicken/mole tamale. The chicken/mole wasn't on my plate. The pork had the best flavor. Unfortunately, with the exception of the jalapeno/cheese, all the tamales were heavy, sparsely filler and super, super, dry inside.

I agree with the rest, fantastic, especially the green sauce, tomatillo/jalapeno. This place was all and more.

I had pently of good Tamales growing up in a largely hispanic neighborhood. But I have to say that Moms is by far the best I have had.

We went to Mom's Tamales recently for breakfast and loved the tamales. The food is authentic; salsa were good; beans were smooth and tasty but the best item on our plates was the tamale. We had the spinach tamale and the chicken mole tamale. They both were light, tender, fluffy and tasty! We'd go again!
