The menu showcases innovative twists on traditional ramen, such as their signature Monster Ramen bowl, which features rich, beef-based broths and tender Wagyu beef slices. Beyond ramen, patrons rave about appetizers like the loaded gyoza, praised for their flavorful fillings and perfect execution. With its cozy ambiance and commitment to quality, Monster Ramen offers a memorable dining experience that stands out in Chicago’s vibrant food scene.
I got lucky for the second week in a row and got to meet the chef from the show! She was super nice and brought the dish out to me because I think she could tell I was a fan of the show based on ordering both dishes. I had the Shoyu Plus and the Beef Chashu Don. The Shoyu Plus was outstanding! I love how she uses beef jam with a lot of her dishes. The beef chashu from both was tasty and she uses a quick blowtorch to char the meat. Ramen has become my new favorite type of dish to try in Chicago and this one is up there with the best of them! The Beef Chashu Don was also fantastic with the rice and vegetables/spices. They also greet each person coming in with the whole staff being very welcoming. I love this place and can't wait to come back. 8.5/10
