Sorry to say this, but, don't waste your time finding this place! We finally got the attention of the waitress and ordered a Philly Cheese Steak. I finally came about 20 minutes later. The diner was about 20% full. For $7.35 we got, on a 4.5 inch bun, about an ounce of wearm sliced beef roast, about 1/4 ounce of barely grilled onions and green pepper. The cheese was good. I must say their home-brewed potato chips were good, not too salty nor greasy. Went down the highway to the Casino just North of Oklahoma on I-35 and got a very nice turkey panini sammie. We went to Brint's on a Saturday noon. Maybe they slack off on the weekend?

My fiancé and I were in Wichita for the weekend and ate at Brints for lunch today on our way back home. The chilli is to die for and the bacon cheeseburger is the best we've eaten. I will be sure into eat there next time I'm in Wichita. :-D

So glad we looked this place up on our way through town. Watched on diners, drive-ins and dives! Loved the food and service!

I've lived in Hillsboro, KS for 22 years and never heard of this place! Expect me to be there within a week!

Food is awesome, both breakfast and lunch. The chicken fried steak has always been awesome and the homemade fries are amazing. The atmosphere is very "old" along with the neighborhood, but that is part of the charm. And as for cleanliness, there is no problem in this area. It is an old diner, not a new chain style chrome and glisten restaurant.

Took my little girls there for a breakfast/lunch and loved it. Very good food, good prices, and you can't beat the atmosphere. Lived in Wichita most of my life, had heard about the place but had never been there. I wouldn't say the neighborhood is 'bad', it's just old. This is a genuine old-school diner, and if you're expecting something fancy, you're at the wrong place. If you want a cheesey replica of a real diner, go to Jimmy's on Rock Road and overpay for crappy food and service.

I also say don't go. I also went because it was on Diners Driveins and Dives. It didn't look clean. I had hot roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes. The potates tasted like glue. The roost beef wasn't too bad. I felt like I was in a "Dive" and surprised Guy F. had this restaurant on his show. I won't go agin. PAD

We went only because this was on the show Diners Drive ins and dives. DONT GO. We should have left when we asked the waitress what the vegetable of the day was and she can back and told us the cook didnt know. My husband got the chicken fry which the show said was great. It was paper thin and the gravy can out of a can ( no seasonings and you could tell it was not homemade) Not to mention the steak was so salty he sent it back. THe fries look like they can directly from walmart. I ate the Cinncinatti spegh. DONT DO IT. it was wolfe brand chili on cold spegh. noodles. THis place has either gone way down hill or this was a stop inbetween where he was really headed.

Brints is not in a bad part of town. I live in Wichita also.

Hum...as we are getting ready for the long drive to AZ over break, we were trying to decide where to stop for food. I"m beginning to wonder if this would be worth it.

We went to Brint's Diner for the first and last time. The diner is very dirty behind the counter. (I could see everything behind the counter from where I was sitting.) Food was ok, but not worth the 30 minute wait. We had the chicken fried steak dinner. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant and the gravy tasted like a mix. I was very disappointed, and wonder why Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive Ins & Dives, on Food Network, said it had the best Chicken Fried Steaks. If you are in the area, go ahead and stop in, but I would not go out of your way for it.

The Post from KJ and Guest are incorrect. This restaurant is not closed. I have lived in Wichita for 30 years, KJ's statement that is not worth going to "that part of town" is VERY ODD.

Brits was very good! We had the Phily Cheese Steak. While it was not the very best I have ever had it was very good and if I were in Wichita again I would get that again. The home made chips were awesome. We got there right at closing but were waited on quickly and not rushed to leave. A definate go to place if you are anywhere near there.

This place is closed... don't bother.

This place is really good. The Chicken Fried Steak is waaaaay above average. Some of the best you'll have. It's tucked behind a bread store so you'll have to really look for it.

Brint's is pretty tasty. Our table had a Patty Melt and fries- juicy and delicious, the white American cheese was perfect, cheese steak with homemade chips and scrambled eggs with hash brown. Coke was good and coffee is good. The hours are odd, only open until 6pm M-F till 2 on Sat. Brint's is BEHIND the wonderbreadoutlet store and is hard too see from Lincoln St. Look for the Tacos y Mas truck and go behind. Tacos y Mas is also AWESOME. Check them out but make sure you can order en Espanol.
