The Cheese Burger Soup in the Buffalo, NY area was at Grover's in Amherst, NY.

Earl's Cafe. Is this the place for Cheese Burger Soup? My name is Ernie and from Southern Cali. I would really like to know if I could get the recipe for that soup and your Sheperd's Pie. Please send me an email when you get this message at [email protected]. Thank you and have a good day.

I loved this place! May Earl rest in peace (he recently passed away, so Earl's is over for good). The food was amazing! Some of the best chicken wings and pies around! This place will be greatly missed.

I live near this place, saw it on the TV show so I figured I would give it a try...Worst decision I ever made.  Service sucked and the "Famous" Chicken A La King was horrible...Wonders if Guy Fiery's taste buds are dead...Ive eaten frozen chicken pot pie with more flavor...Will never go back and tell everybody I know not to eat there...There is a Burger King right up the road, I would eat there instead.

I don't know what the last person was talking about but, my family and I were at Earl's in July and the food and service was great! We come out to that part of NY every summer to visit family and eat there a couple of times while we are there! We ate there way before it was on Triple D. We love seeing Earl, the fruit jars, the boots for table legs and the best darned hot beef sandwiches and mashed pots!!! Thank you Earl !!!

I wish I had recorded or written down the recipe for the Sheperd's Pie at Earl's.   I can't find it anywhere online...did anyone get it?

Just watched this episode on DDD and thought about stopping by on our way south this weekend. But due to a bad review from June 11th we will not make that stop. All it takes is one good review to make you and only one review to break you. Moving on to Cleveland. Thanks formthe honest review June 11th. B

I would suggest if you are from out of town you do not eat here. Three tables that were seated after us were waited on first because they were “regulars”. We had to get our own menus, it took us 20 minutes before the waitress even came over to ask us what we wanted to drink. After about ½ hour we got our drinks, our food took over an hour to come out and when it did the waitress said it was going to be at least another 10 minutes for the kids food because they forgot to make it, not to mention my food was made wrong. When we told our waitress we were less that satisfied with the service we were receiving the staff stood about 5 feet from our table and whispered about us and stared at us. When we got up to leave the MANAGER of the restaurant was taunting us, making smart remarks toward us, and staring at us. The food wasn’t all that great either. By far the MOST unprofessional staff I have ever come across, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Have a place on Lime Lake just minutes from Earl's and to clear everything up.. They are open, strange hours, service is awful, food is better at McDonalds except for the pies..Yummm

Stopped by on Dec. 6,2010 after driving 9 hours from Virginia and it was closed.  Found a NY Times article from 2007 saying it was closing.  Not sure what is going on but Tim Hortons just down the road was packed.

Was wanting to travel up to Earl's, but was wondering the hours? Tried the number i saw .. all i got was a fax, maybe i called to late in the day... anyone know the hours there?  I want to go in the worst way.. i think it might be worth taking a day off work.  Good food and nice ride..

went there as a kid every time we had to pick someone up at the airport in buffalo....decided to take my boys there and it did not live up to my memories or the show on Triple D....almost everything on the show was a special and not available the day we went.  Very disappointing for me...and my family!

Ate there all my life. Moved away 30 years ago and each time I return I eat at Earls at least three times in a week. Was devastated when Earl closed the place and delighted when he elected to reopen. Everything on the menue is the finest!
