Disappointed more in the service than the food. Our waiter forgot the chorizo and then the cheesecake dessert! He did take them off the bill, but the delay was a real turnoff. Not one of my DDD favorites, but glad we went!

Excellent food. The shrimp & polenta was one of the best dishes I've had. Orders 8 plates and every one was off the chain. Make a Rez even if it's only a few hours before.

We stopped here on a road trip and loved the food. Did made a rez a few hours before we went. Ordered two tapas and four entrees plus a salad. It was all excellent and delicious. I wish we lived closer to this place; would definitely go back again. The shrimp and polenta was one of the best dishes I've ever had. Could have licked the bowl. Nicer than a diner, drive-in or dive.

If I liked Florida, I'd have to go here.

Came here because of the show. Absolutely amazing food. Be sure to reserve at least a week in advance, as they literally have 15 or so chairs in the whole place. It is fun to go with a few friends and order 7 or 8 tapas for the table. Risotto cakes were unbelievable. The topper is the Tres Leches Cake. Mouthwatering end to a perfect meal.

I travel all over the U.S. for business. I look up DDD venues when I can. Recently was in JAX on business. Went to 13 Gypsies at 1:45 pm. Was tld kitchen was closed until dinner. Hours showed open until 2 with no notation about closing kitchen at 1:45. Came back for dinner at 5 pm. Ordered the Roman Gnocchi. Way TOO salty. Then tried the spiced dates and chorizo, once again enough salt to curl your lips. Not too impressed with this DDD option.

Risotto was to die for - best ever - including travels in Italy. Roman gnocchi was like a cheesy polenta - setup overnight then cut into squares and pan seared topped with a delicious mushroom sauce.  13 bean soup homemade and delicious. A little pricey for one of Guy's joints but worth it.

We went to 13 gypsies over Thanksgiving 2010 w/13 other people. The Food was wonderful as was the service. We all loved the variety along with the Sangria. thanks for a great experience. We would never have gone there without Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!

Tapas style menu with authentic Spanish flavors.  Get the gnocci, risotto of the day and the homemade chorizo.

Three words.  #1. Flavor   #2.  Flavor   #3. Flavor.   This is the absolute best DDD spot we've been to.  Reviews on 13 Gypsies highly recommended that diners order the Risotto of the Day.  We took the advice and had the fortune of Blue Crab Risotto - we were licking the plate!!  The beauty of 13 Gypsies is it's tapas style, so we just ordered a plethora of the menu items and were not disappointed on any of them. Seared scallops with safron aioli.  The chirizo/pear/dates appetizer is a tremendous blend of spice chorizo with the ying/yang effect of sweet pears and dates.  Angry Bull - whatever that spicy sauce on the beef was, we loved (had to dip our peasant bread in it!).  Gnocci with mushrooms - divine.  Chef Howard was toasted over and over again at our table.  Don't miss this place.

13 Gypsies is FANTASTIC!!!  There is so much flavor in everything they serve - Whatever the risotto of the day is - get it.  The Sangria is delicious & they have the BEST Tres Leches cake I've ever tasted.  Like SDO said, make reservations if you want to eat in, but you can order take out & have a romantic picnic at one of the MANY local parks.

Best Triple D place I've been to so far.  Fantastic tapas.  Only 8 tables and 18 seats, so make reservations.
