JAX Truckee Diner

SAW THIS ON YOUR SHOW. WE GO TO RENO A FEW TIMES A YEAR AND STOPPED BY. THE CRAB CAKE EGGS BENEDICT WERE GREAT. GREAT LITTLE PLACE. NICE STAFF. A MUST. WE'RE FROM VT AND ARE SICK OF PANCAKES AND MAPLE SYRUP. THATS ALL THEY HAVE FOR EATS IN THIS STATE.

Must have been an off day for this place although it appeared to be very popular.  Food was average at best and very pricey for what you got.  Nope, not again - that is unless I happen to break down in Truckee and have nowhere else to eat.

jax is known for--- crabcake benedict kobe beef meatloaf with rootbeer raisin glaze dill crumbed alaskan cod sandwich "the phil brownie" "the crazy daisy" and many more modern diner offerings all served up in the grandeur of the seirra nevada

While in Lake Tahoe area, my wife and I stopped at Jax. She had the Kobe Meatloaf which is prepared to order and takes about 18 minutes and I had the Crabcake Sandwich. Both meals were excellent and the quant atmosphere of the diner and the wait staff were great. Get there early as the dinner crowd rolls in. Glad Triple D found this hideaway. It's a keeper! If you're in the Lake Tahoe area on vacation or sking, put Jax on your "To Do List."

Hey Bud we saw your show with Guy on the food channel, Looks like your doing some pretty cool stuff Hope you remember us you bought us a martini one evening. Hope all is well, we will drop in this summer.
