BBQ Bill had brunch on July 16, 2013 and the Chicken Croquettes were the bomb. Great service and it came with 2 sides and a salad too. Had the homemade potato pancakes w/apple sauce. They were money and would highly recommend them. Great service and plenty of food for the price. Nice bakery in front too, even had some sugar free items. Check this place out.

The chicken croquettes were good but the best thing to get at this place is breakfast. By far the best French toast I've had at a diner. They also have great waffles, omlettes and potato pancakes. I recommend going there in the fall for their breakfast specials like the apple crepes- so good! The line is always out the door but it moves fast and the waitresses are very nice!

I had the chicken croquettes last time I went there -- instead of my normal mid-day late breakfast.  Great meal!

I live in philadelphia and have been here numerous times.  The food is good.  They have good sweet potatoe fries.  The turkey cranberry is good also.  Check out there deserts! Very tasty.  Fast service, friendly staff and good food.  Most diners in philly and jersey are ok. This is one of the best.

I often travel to the Philly area and was looking for a place to eat when I recalled one of my favorite TV shows - Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives with our friend Guy.  He is the perfect host for this show.  He captures my interest at every venue. The Dining Car in east Philly - naturally I had the Chicken Croquets that were a feature of the show.  Not to be disappointed, they were fantastic.  The rest of the meal was every day; except the rolls and they were delectable.  If I lived in the Philly area I would eat there often. Thanks Guy!

Ate here 11/11/09 and we had a real good lunch. The onion soup ( as seen on DD&D) was tops! They didn't have one of the specials that was on the chalkboard so when we were leaving they gave us free desert which was 3 slices of their well known jewish coffee cakel There was a constant line of persons waiting to eat the entire time we were having lunch. Staff was very cordial. They must be doing something right!
