Loosely inspired by the Crown Bar in Belfast Northern Ireland, Tacoma's Crown Bar is a vibrant neighborhood icon along 6th Avenue that offers a comfortable venue to meet, unwind, and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Chef Charlie McManus takes pride in his initiative to work with local farmers in order to provide an eclectic menu that's likely to have something for everyone. Menu highlights include international fare such as currywurst, kebobs, chicken tikka and cajun shrimp as well as classic entrees such as Cougar Gold macaroni and cheese, buttermilk fried chicken, and the all-American hamburger with fries, featuring beef from Thundering Hooves organic cattle ranch in Walla Walla.

4/27/2014 dinner stop is at Crown Bar, sad to say, it is the WORSE FOOD we have had out of the other 113 DDD’s we have been to!!! Pam got a burger & fries for $11.50, not sure what they did with the bun but 1/2 the top was mushy and the other 1/2 was stale & hard. Should have NEVER been served like that since the COOK (he sure isn’t a chef) had to have it in his hand. I wondering if they microwaved it to heat after they assembled it (pre cooked patty??)?? Waitress took it off the bill after seeing for herself. I got the Moroccan Beef Kabobs appetizer, they were just ok, not very hot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

Went there on 4/27/14, Crown Bar, sad to say, it is the WORSE FOOD we have had out of the other 113 DDD’s we have been to!!! Pam got a burger & fries for $11.50, not sure what they did with the bun but 1/2 the top was mushy and the other 1/2 was stale & hard, patty was way over cooked. Should have NEVER been served like that since the COOK (he sure isn’t a chef) had to have the bun in his hand. I am wondering if they microwaved it to re-heat after it was assembled (pre cooked patty)?? Waitress took it off the bill after we complained and she actually seen the bun. I got the Moroccan Beef Kabobs appetizer, they were just ok, not very hot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
