Of course, many of us remember the moment Mi Patria got a well-deserved national spotlight. If you're a fan of the Food Network, you know what we're talking about: when Guy Fieri rolled into town in his red Camaro for the hit show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!

For the true food TV aficionados, the episode aired on December 4, 2014. It was Season 21, Episode 12, and Mi Patria was featured in great company alongside Fisherman's Market from Eugene, Oregon. In an incredible showing for our city, another Des Moines legend, Smokey D's BBQ, was also featured in that very same episode! It was a huge moment for the Des Moines food scene, and Mi Patria shined.
