    This restaurant makes everything from scratch including their hamburger buns. The atmosphere is fun and funky with all kinds of art on the walls. The restaurant uses fun names that customers pick blindly out of a jar to tell who’s order is who’s. People from all over the world make the journey just to come eat lunch or dinner here. Some of my favorite menu items include “Scott’s tots” or any burger off the menu. Also it wouldn’t be a trip to Yaks if you didn’t get at least a sticky bun! The owners work behind the counter every day, and are some of the most friendliest people I’ve ever met. Careful as you drive thru Dunsmuir California, because you might miss the best spot in all of true Northern California to stop and grab a burger and a beer before you head off down the street to check out hedge creek falls. With fun names, funky art, great food, and some of the best people around, you’ll guaranteed to have one of the best experiences ever!

    Eat at YAKS on the 5 - Worth the Drive

    Started as a small artisan coffee roaster and delivery service in Redding, CA  but is now a premier destination right off Interstate 5 in Northern California specializing in gourmet burgers, craft beers, and world famous sticky buns with a caramel and Baileys and bourbon sauce.
    Freshly roasted coffee on made on sight and  insanely delicious gourmet burgers with so many unique and fun names.  
    They use all locally sourced  ingredients and make everything from scratch - even the lavender ketchup and asiago ranch.  Their famous gourmet sticky buns made fresh every morning are off the hook and so addictive!
    They even combine the two and have a burger using the sticky buns as buns - amazing!
    The garlic parm fries and tater tots are so good!
    On the kids menu, they serve pop rock burger that comes with a packet of pop rocks - so cute!
    The staff is so welcoming and friendly and just make you feel like you pulled up a seat in Grandma's kitchen and are about to have a delicious meal served with love!
    The OMG burger has a whole slab of cream cheese and lemon-ginger marmalade and beer battered jalapeno chips - Wow!
    They pour at least 20 local craft beers to wash down their locally sourced, freshly made from scratch, gourmet and uniquely delightful and amazing food!
