Yats in broad ripple, Indiana. my favorite magnificent restaurant that serves a variety of cajun/creole stews. Every dish served over rice with a side of Cajun butter bread. Delicious! best dishes are chili cheese crawfish and spinach mushroom etoufee.

    Yats - best cajun cooking in Indy There is a tiny chain of restaurants around Indianapolis called "Yats". It is a traditional Cajun-Creole restaurant that amazingly capture the soul of The Big Easy. All cooking is done traditionally - large pots of each dish on the menu, which can change several times a night (while one dish is being served, a different dish is being prepared). Almost everything is served over rice and served with a piece of baguette with Rouille that will have your mouth drooling and have you wiping every bit of tasty goodness off your plate. Although more locations have been opening up, the original dive location on College Ave. is just what Guy Fieri looks for. Nothing has been modernized: no TVs, it's pretty cozy and gets crowded easily (in a good way), they also have a payment policy of cash... or IOUs (if needed - it's near Butler University). Seriously Guy, you would love it! Check it out!
