Home Place Restaurant in Catawba, VA
This southern-style restaurant is located in Catawba, Virginia. The building itself was built in 1907, and was originally a home to a family who ran a dairy farm. The house then sat unoccupied for several years before going up for auction in 1978. The family who bought the house began renovations two years later, and The Homeplace Restaurant was opened for business on September 17, 1982. It has been serving food family-style and all you can eat ever since. It's known and famous for a wide variety of down home southern favorites that never disappoint. The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, buttermilk biscuits, and peach cobbler are the most popular items. I highly recommend that Guy and his crew come visit the amazing landmark.
