Demetri's BBQ in Birmingham, AL
Although the name suggests BBQ we have come a long way since the 70's. Adding an award winning breakfast menu as well as a full line of market fresh vegetables and homemade entrees modernized by the now owner (his late father Demetri was the original owner) to appeal to every palate. All of our original recipes were handed down to Sam from his family. Our meat is slow smoked in our old school smoker and finished off on our pit (little fun fact - our pit and building were constructed by off duty Homewood Fireman in the 70's). Our guests refer to us as "Cheers without the beer". Why are we writing you? Out of all the shows that have contacted us with the possibility of being on, Diners Drive Ins and Dives is the one show he wishes he could appear on.
