Exmore Diner in Exmore, VA

We recently were traveling from Charleston, SC to Ocean City, Maryland and wanted to stop for breakfast just past the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel Bridge. We stopped at one quaint restaurant around 10am but they only served seafood and recommended we try a "very famous diner called the Exmore Diner in Exmore, VA". We took their advice and were quite surprised that the food was absolutely delicious. The diner is located near Accomack and Northampton County boundary in Virginia. It has been around since 1954 and actually an old railroad car. It is quite small with old fashioned stools as well as about 8 booths. It was a great find!

The Exmore Diner is not an old railroad car. It is a real, factory-built diner; a 1945 Silk City Diner.
