I wrote to you a few months ago to recommend you visit Mo'Betta Gumbo I wrote to you a few months ago to recommend you visit Mo'Betta Gumbo in Loveland CO. I ranted and raved about the food and the service and the amazing owners of Loveland's little slice of the Bayou. I probably told you that in my life, I know things are looking up when I get to go to Mo' Betta Gumbo for lunch. And all of it is true, their food is fantastic, they are so proud of their food and their Chefs that they have a HUGE window looking into the kitchen from the street. And then yesterday I realized that my life looks up when I eat at Mo'Betta and that I should also LOOK UP when I am at Mo'Betta. Chef Clay has put so much love and soul into every aspect of Mo'Betta. The amazing ceiling detail makes for strange looking conversations but it is so cool. Hand-detailed with stones and beads, paint, and stick on rhinestones. It is truly amazing...maybe a close second to their Shrimp and Grits!!! I wish I could send you a photo of the ceiling. I have one posted on my facebook, and I added it to Mo'Betta facebook, so perhaps you can check it out there. You should also check out the food in person! Resa Mai

One of my favorite places to eat in Loveland Colorado. MoBetta Gumbo. One of my favorite places to eat in Loveland Colorado. MoBetta Gumbo. Since arriving in Loveland Chef Clay and done an amazing job with this restaurant. My family is form the south - MS and LA and this is so authentic. The atmosphere is fun and very New Orleans. Even after a tragic plumbing leak that left them closed for months for renovations... they came back bigger and better. Everything is awesome and Grandma Smithers choc cake is wonderful... a few bites of that chocolate is enough to ease that chocolate craving. wonderful hushpuppies and jambalaya.

This restaurant is fairly new in town and already has a 4&1/2 star rat This restaurant is fairly new in town and already has a 4&1/2 star rating. While it is small in size, it is always busy. I tried my first creole food there and was blown away. My favorite is a dish that has craw fish on a warm, spicy rice mix. It is pure heaven. The fried green tomatoes were my first also and I'm in love. And yes, Guy, they do have grits. This restaurant is a true hidden little gem in Loveland, Colorado. I hope you will give it a try. You won't be sorry! Sincerely, Arden Crise

Mo Betta Gumbo, Loveland Colorado Winner, winner, gumbo dinner. Neve Mo Betta Gumbo, Loveland Colorado Winner, winner, gumbo dinner. Never been to N'awlins, but I do enjoy fantastic flavors and this is by far my favorite restaurant. To be specific, Guy needs to start with the Fried Oysters (simple but oh so tender, they melt in your mouth) and the "Slap yo Mama" loaf (best item on the menu and only choice for a meal on a deserted island). Then Guy can dive into the "your tongue will slap your brain" Catfish Etouffee. A perfectly cooked, breaded catfish on top of crawfish etouffee and rice. To finish the meal, order the Banana Foster bread pudding (could not put my spoon down). The staff are always polite with with a recommendations and friendly with a smile. A really big bonus is Mo Betta Gumbo also serves several beers from a local brewery just down the street called Loveland Aleworks.

Being a native of a coastal state and moving to Colorado I know "coastal cooking" can be a challenge in a "land-lock" state. Mo Betta Gumbo makes you feel like you're in Louisiana! (I fell in love with New Orleans my first visit). Mo Betta Gumbo has the most incredible food EVERY TIME and the staff are awesome. It's always a little different taste which I like - spice it up! Every dish is great! Come out and you won't be disappointed! P.S. I NEVER make restaurant recommendations so this is true from my foody heart to share.

Mo Betta "Mo' Betta Gumbo" The food was great and we felt like we were right on Bourbon Street with the best of them. Actual crab in the crab cakes, not the fake stuff. Hush puppies, etouffee, and beignets. A taste of New Orleans in Loveland, Colorado. Thanks for considering this restaurant.

Mo'betta Gumbo in Loveland, Colorado. We heard great things about the Mo'betta Gumbo in Loveland, Colorado. We heard great things about the place so decided to try it out. It was phenomenal! The andouille sausage po'boy had such great flavor, and the beignets with honey made me wish I could have another plate. It's gonna take me several visits to try everything on the menu that sounded good (for instance andouille, chicken and seafood gumbo, crawfish etouffee, and bananas foster bread pudding), but I'll gladly conquer that assignment!! :)

While you're eating at Mo' Betta Gumbo, in the heart of 4th St. in Lov While you're eating at Mo' Betta Gumbo, in the heart of 4th St. in Loveland, CO, you actually need to remind yourself you're NOT in New Orleans becuase everything tastes, looks, smells, and even sounds like you are. I love the food in New Orleans but I've traveled all over the country for 10 years eating average to poor atempts at real cajun/creole food... until I tried Mo' Betta. Everything on the menu is exquisite (I've literally had everything)! The service is amazing, the decor is spot on French Quarter, and the live music is an incredible mix of jazz, dixieland, and blues. Best restaurant i've been to in CO since moving here 5 years ago.

OMG, I just had their fried catfish smothered in Gumbo. It was delightful, delectable and sinful. Being from East Texas, I know a little 'bout Cajun and Coastal food, and THIS IS IT! It's my go to place for some comfort red beans & rice food. If you're in the right mood, the Fancy Fresca or the moonshine only adds to the ambience and experience. Guy, you need to make a road trip to the High Plains of Colorado and come see the place we proudly call the Sweetheart City. Mo' Betta is the place to go if you need a little sugar, know what I mean?

In a town known and renowned for over the top art, Clay Caldwell stand In a town known and renowned for over the top art, Clay Caldwell stands alone. This artists gallery is Mo Betta Gumbo and Clay is the artist. The only difference is that his medium is flavor and he frames each work of art with a plate!!
