This is a little country store named after the owners grandmother who was the best cook this side of the Mississippi...…...probably the other side too!!! The food is just down to earth southern cooking starting with fresh vegetables (fried cabbage, and taters, pinto beans with corn bread, fried okra and fried green tomatoes) Mississippi pot roast is a favorite among the locals, so tender you can cut it with a fork and we can't forget the fried chicken gizzards that have become a big hit even with customers that swear they don't eat them!!!! The atmosphere in this eatery is nothing short of a the best southern hospitality ever. Come join us mid week when we fire up the smoker and turn out the best rib tips, smoked turkey, and roasted hens as well as many lbs of pulled pork the smell of that smoker pulls customers in from the highway.....the owner splits her time between her ole stomping grounds of Mississippi and the rolling hills of northern California, where she is an RN at Kaiser (the best health care employer in the US).
