"Acapulco Tropical Super Market in Bradenton, FL"

Diane Wardell

Acapulco Tropical Super Market 3517 1st StBradenton, FL 34208(941) 744-1034You walk thru the grocery store and past the butcher counter to the corner restaurant in the back. The selection of food changes daily - displayed in a glass case. Standouts include Roast Pork, whole fried tilapia, tacos of every kind, and different assortments of meats and peppers and onions braised together in spicy sauce. The fried plantains are the best I've ever tried. They take awhile, but worth the wait. You can order food by the meal, or by the pound. Everything is fixed fresh daily. The ambiance isn't what I would call romantic, more school cafeteria / back alley chic, but the fantastic food more than makes up for it. If you decide to eat there, I'd suggest the fajitas - mixture of meat and seafood. This sizzling, overflowing, piled high skillet of meaty goodness will certainly make you the envy of everyone in the store. They make their own tortillas and the machine is going non stop during the day, so you always get fresh, hot ones for your meal. They have a 'salad' bar with all kinds of sauces and toppings (lettuce, pepper, etc) for your meal. Along with fresh made guacamole, fried pork skins, etc.
