L'oro Di Napoli in Santa Rosa, CA
We just walked into this new pizza place in downtown Santa Rosa. The owner/pizziolo/chef is from Napoli (Italy) - Quartieri Spagnoli, and he is making the dough for the pizza, just like we have when we are home in Napoli. His family has a restaurant with a Friggitoria, so he grew up in the Neapolitan traditions of street fried foods and soft pizza dough with just the right burnt amount on it. Right now he is doing pizzas, lasagna, some oven baked potatoes. He is working on hiring more Neapolitans, so he can consistantly offer the fried food of Naples, like crocche', Zeppole and arrancini. My Italian husband and son were so happy with the food and experience that I had to write for Guy Fieri to have a look when he is in town.
