Moon’s Kitchen Cafe is located in the heart of downtown Boise Idaho. Right around the corner from the amazing capitol building. As you probably know Boise has been the fastest growing city in America for a few years now and it’s charm still shines. Moon’s has been part of it’s history since 1955! Gary and Shelly Torrey purchased it about 11 years ago and brought it back to a thriving breakfast location. Mainly because of the quality and taste of the food they create and serve. Things like their Moon babies (kind of a crepe with a homemade raspberry compote and powdered sugar. Yum! Also their different types of Benidicts they call Moon Beni’s. Some Irish, Mexi, Hobo, and Smoked Salmon. The bacon is perfect and so is the coffee that comes from a local roaster. Gary created and manufactured a product that makes perfect Hollandaise sauce every time for restaurants called the Hollandaise Hero. I love the taste and so will you! Since 1955 Moon’s has been known for their handmade shakes and Gary & Shelly have continued to not disappoint. Using a traditional shake mixer that is in full view at the counter area they mix the customers choice of creation! The ambience of the restaurant is quaint with a lot of fun pictures to keep your eyes entertained. Just fun stuff. Anything from Elvis to cars to fishing lures, Lol. A comfortable and alive place to go downtown for breakfast. Their has been a few celebs that have stopped by for breakfast over the years like Pierce Brosner and others. They made it through the tough times of the recession and the regulars often tipped heavily the waitresses to support them financially during those tough times. I remember hearing from one that she received a $500 tip. Boise people are a generous bunch! My wife and I watch your show and know that this location would fit right in and people would enjoy knowing about it for their visits to Boise ( where all their friends and family from California moved to! Lol) The food not only tastes good but looks good when it lands at your table in front of you. Thanks for the consideration. Moon's Kitchen has the best food in Boise, not to mention a classic down home atmosphere. Their menu items cater to all kinds of special diets. The best milkshakes in Idaho and without a doubt the best Hollandaise sauce on this side of the United States. I highly recommend that Guy Fieri visit this tiny cafe and indulge in some of the best food around.
Moon's kitchen is our family's favorite place for breakfast. Even when we lived out of town we would still meet there for breakfast or lunch. Mandatory stop whenever we have guests in town. The food is yummy and the atmosphere fun and welcoming! The variety of Bene's (Eggs Benedict) perfect everytime, Moon Babies with lemon custard and Gary's perfect preserves made everyday!!!! Yummmm. Another one of my favorites. Gary and Shelly the owners are Idaho's best of people and the staff like family, no matter how long it's been. Moon's brings small town to Idaho's big city!
Love Moon's and love Gary and Shelley Torrey (owners). Gary created the Hollandaise Hero which is a kitchen utensil used for heating butter for hollandaise sauce. It's amazing! And we use is at our own cafe in Montana. Moon's Kitchen Cafe is great! Love what Gary has done, simple breakfast ingredients created with passion!
Moon's kitchen has been a staple of Boise forever, best food in town, you'll love Gary and Shelly Torrey, they're known for their shakes but seriously their food is amazing!! They've had a few celebrities come eat there as well as Trump's daughter!! You'll be kicking yourself if you don't go there!! You'll be so glad you did!! 😊

Our amazing diner has been around since the 50's we have amazing home cooked breakfast, we're definitely a local favorite hopefully we can get a visit from guy.
