Gator Joe's Beach Bar & Grill in Ocklawaha, FL
It's on the shore of Lake Weir. Has a boat dock and sea plane parking. Ridiculously cool atmosphere and food to just die for. Best fried Mushrooms and fried Gator I have ever had. And I'm an avid fried Gator eater. Its about 30 minutes SE of Ocala and about 45 min NW of Orlando. My wife surprised me with a visit on the way back from Silver Springs. To say we will return is without question. Hard to describe how cool the place is in the limited space to type. Want to try the fettuccini alfredo with gator and the philly cheesesteak with gator whenever we return.
