House 1830 in Rogers, AR

This restaurant follows the Guy maxim; if it’s funky you’ll find it. This is traditional Thai and Vietnamese food. The owner’s (Ben) parents were refugees from the Vietnam War. They settled in McMinville, OR. “1830” was the street number of the house Ben grew up in. Life brought Ben and his wife, Suzanne,to northwest Arkansas. He missed his mother’s food. He got her permission to use her family recipes. House 1830 is definitely a dive. Everything we tried on the menu was very good. The show stopper were the sesame balls we got for dessert. I think Guy would find some tasty chow at House 1830 if he makes his way down to the Ozarks.
