Have I got a place for you to try. My wife and I ran across this place Have I got a place for you to try. My wife and I ran across this place while at the hydroplane races in Couer`D Alene, Idaho. It is a little sandwich shop called Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese, 1735 W. Kathleen Ave. The uniqueness of this place is what ingredients they put in between two pieces of bread. Pastrami, Brie Mousse, Garlic Grilled Chicken, Fontina, Pork Shoulder, BBQ Pulled Pork, Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken to name a few. All the ingredients in these sandwiches mix well and give them a great flavor. All sandwiches can be served with homemade potato chips, 3 different types of dips and drinks. The two favorite ones I like are the "Oinker" and the "Huclkeberry Heaven." We highly recommend this business for a nice lunch on your way to Spokane, Wa.

They put the extreme in grilled cheese sandwiches.They have won a few national honors at grilled cheese competitions. Some of their menu choices are the Border Patrol, Briqueso, Rooben Evolooshun, Oinker,Cubano, Potsticker Meltz. Also on the menu are soups, salads, and in house potatoe chips. They also have several different "dipz" to compliment the sandwiches/chips. ;
