Recommendations for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives

NorEast Treats and Eats in Charlotte, NC

They started out as a food truck for 6 years and in 2023 they became a brick and mortar - but guess where. In a Ford car dealership - that’s right Town and Country Ford on Independence Blvd. Wow Flavortown. Nor’East is participating in the CLT Burger week and this little diner might very well win the best burger in Charlotte. Guy you’re a burger aficionado you need to weigh in on this restaurant. I don’t visit many places that I’d say I’m going back there but this one wins my respect. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner most days - outstanding! Here’s who is behind the scenes for great food, desserts and ice cream. The Andersons: Carol has been baking for 30 years and has won awards for her pies. Blake has loved ice cream for longer. When asked as a child (and adult:-D) what he wanted to be when he grew up, he would say, “a taste tester at an ice cream factory.” Maybe it was prophetic! Adult children Micah, Carley, and Lauren have taken after both sides of the family. They like to bake and love ice cream. Throw in extended family members and they make a dynamic team. What more needs to be said? So on the right side of the dealership is their diner where locals and employees enjoy the personal service and exceptional food. They even have reserved parking spaces for the diner. So get your Camaro down to CLT and park it in Ford town for a burger you won’t believe. Check out the Nor’East website for the details and the family roots bringing Northeast USA to the South while mixing in family heritage and southern hospitality.
