Guy... You won't be sorry if you visit this one. The dough I like no other dough I've ever had!!!! It's very clear that the recipes are "Grandma's recipes" you can tell with your very first bite that they haven't changed anything since 1959, the pizza is nothing short of phenomenal. I have to admit that I've tried most, if not all, of the items on the menu and have not been disappointed yet!
Same dough recipe since 1959! Delicious Detroit style pizza. Family owned and great owner Sean Katchuba. His son, AJ, is the face of the brand he is too cute! Creative recipes and unique menu items such as the pizza fries (created exclusively by his 4 year old son).
Best pizza around since 1959! The dough recipes have not changed! Making dough daily for Detroit style square and round. Two different recipes but both fantastic! Sean took over in 2024 with a vision to expand. He has done it! He believed in the brand and has opened 2 more stores and won’t stop there.
Best pizza best service cleanliness is outstanding love everything about this place
This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. It has stayed the exact same with the same original recipe since 1959! They not only make amazing pizza, but they have many different appetizers, sides, breads, wings. The owner is an amazing man who is super family oriented, and is very dedicated to his work. After talking with him, I realized this has been his lifelong dream come true. Please give little Italy pizza a well-deserved chance at proving just how great it really is.
Been around since 1959, recently bought and expanded to share this delicious food. Make 2 different dough one for the hand tossed and one that takes over 4 hours for the classic Detroit style, the Detroit style is hands down the best and more people need to know about it. The pizza recipes have stayed the same since 1959 and the new owner has searched for certain products to make sure the dough and the pizza stays the same. Been a eastside favorite for so long and so many people praise it for not changing. With the raising prices he even makes sure to keep it affordable still offering a large one topping pizza for just $9.99 on Monday and Tuesday and you can have either square or large. They make the pasta sauce every couple days just like his grandma used to make. He opened 2 other stores last year because people asked him to be closer and the owner goes to every store everyday to assist in making the dough and sauces just to be sure they are the same and to make sure the legend of the pizza lives on. These places are in working class neighborhoods and they want to make sure they can feed everyone for a reasonable price while not sacrificing the tradition of this food. The owner is the oldest of 12 and his parents actually grew up in the city where he bought the original in honor of his parents. He branded the place with his son as the face because family is the most important to him and you can tell tradition and community mean a lot. Please give this place a try, I know you will love it and I know you will find the owner/chef to be a good person. He sticks up for his employees and makes sure they always have work in a world where it’s hard to pay and keep employees. Not only is the pizza outstanding the pasta sauce is ridiculous, this pasta sauce is better than any fancy place and you can get a meal with a salad and roll for $8.99. Feeding people is this places passion and it’s clear. It’s the definition of a hidden gem.
