Golden Harvest in Lansing, MI is a must!!!
Okay, when you think of breakfast joints you think of the casual diner that serves savory pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc.. Well golden harvest in Lansing, Mi is just the opposite of that. They serve up different specials every day including the original menu. Some of my favorites are caramel apple French toast, the chocolate peanut butter waffle, and the "chronic" omelette (and I'm not even an omelette guy). They're serving up this in a 35-seat establishment where people are lined up out the door for hours just to get some killer food. All served up while music is blasting in the background, completely fitting the crazy custom decor. This is a MUST. It is the best breakfast I've ever had and I keep coming back.

Golden Harvest is THE breakfast/brunch spot of Michigan. Their hours are typical of a breakfast joint but that doesn’t stop the community from lining up 45 minutes before they open! They serve a selection of rotating breakfast and brunch items like french toast, omelettes, and quiche. They use all local, organic product and the comical names they have for their entrées make the experience well worth the wait!
You need to come to Golden Harvest in Lansing, MI. It's really small and really funky. They serve breakfast and the wait is usually a couple of hours- outside. They have the BEST biscuits and gravy I've had in my life. They also have different specials every day. Last time I was there, I had pancakes.. with waffle pieces in them. The atmosphere is also really cool. It's cramped, but not in a bad way. They'll seat people with strangers to save space and to try to get people to make conversation. There are all sorts of crazy decorations, and all different kinds of music. It's awesome.

It is the funkiest breakfast joint you will ever go to! I know, I know, you aren't a big breakfast guy. BUT, if it's worth our time to stand in line outside in rain, snow, sleet or shine for over an hour, then it is worth your time to show this joint off to the rest of the country! GH is small, loud, and absolutely delicious! Better bring cash, an appetite, patience and your personality because you just might sit at a table with some complete strangers. Guy Fieri, This restaurant is anything but ordinary! It blast techno music as loud as loud could go, the atmosphere that comes off the cooks and staff is unforgettable (in a good way). The line outside the door may take a few hours but the food is worth the wait! My personal favorite item is the pancake waffle (pancake stuffed with fresh berries and a waffle topped with whipped cream and powdered sugar!) Now they do have a few rules: don't be a dick, there is no line just remember when you got there, no ordering to-go, ect. This is a Michigan treasure!
