Me an a coworker went on a sales call and he asked of this was good. Never heard of it and I have lived in Houston all my whole life and never knew about this place. After leaving everyone I told them about said they have vivid memories of that place and can’t believe they are still open! 52 years in business and as I walked out I said I am going to bring my wife here! I had the bowl of gumbo (Best I have ever had) and freid green tomatoes (again the best I have ever had and served with a homemade dipping sauce). We went at lunch and it was busy especially with plant and oilfield workers! I can only imagine what dinner is like witb the sun setting on the water right outside. There is even a faerie that you can cross across the channel outside the resteraunt! Even if it where not to make the show, it is a must stop!!!
