The Cut Bakes in Newark, DE, USA
This is a small bakery and lunch restaurant owned by a husband and wife. They opened in 2025. The atmosphere is cozy and home like. Being in a college area it feels like you are getting a home cooked meal. Thier menu changes but that's the fun of it. Each time I think I found my favorite item they come up with something new. From Duck soup to eggplant parm sandwiches made with tomato focaccia made in-house. I crave this place all week.They also have seasonal syrups for lemonade, their own jarred jams and pickles. I know them from before they got a store they used to bring their baked goods to a local farmers market that runs from summer to the week before Thanksgiving. My favorite thing is when I have leftovers the next morning.
