"Give Northern Colorado some love up here in Fort Collins"
Give North Colorado some love. Here in Fort Collins, home of the Colorado State University Rams, we have two restaurants you need to check out and a bar that does an absurd Old Fashioned. The first is Restaurant 415, named because it is at 415 South Mason Street, right across the street from CSU. I had the best Shrimp and Grits of my life here and they support the local community by getting their food from the local farmers, including having their own plot at a friends small farm. The second place is Ace Gillett's, a lounge in the basement of the historic Armstrong Hotel (built in 1923) that plays live Jazz music, does a Cinnamon Apple Old Fashioned that is absurd. Finally, is The Mayor of Old Town located across Mason Street from 415 and at one of the entrances to an area we call The Alley. This place has 100 different beers on tap, most of them Colorado breweries, but the main reason to come here is to get the Prime Rip French Dip with Bacon Whiskey Jam. That's correct Bacon Whiskey Jam. No more description needed.
