You should definitely check out Mac's Speedshop in Charlotte, North Carolina. They, by far, have the best brisket I have ever tasted! We drive 2 hours there just to eat their brisket. Mac n' cheese is served as a "side-car" and is delicious! Definitely a must try!

We often look for mom & pop kind of restaurants when hunting for good food. We happened upon Mac’s Speed Shop and WOW! We got the hush puppies because our 5 year old loves hush puppies and they were the perfect size for his hands. Plus it came with a side of honey butter, DELISH! Then he got the Kids Grilled Cheese and he said it was the “Best Sandwich Ever!” My husband got the Cuban Sandwich with a side of the street corn! He said it was AHMAZING! And I got the Brisket Quesadilla, I had to omit the pickled jalepenos but even without those, it was absolutely top notch THE BEST QUESADILLA my tastebuds have ever entertained! If you don’t add this place to your travels, you are definitely missing something!!

Beef brisket is good. Everything else is barely average. Pulled pork is pitiful. Neat setting, but that's about it. Horrible parking and service is weak.
