"TWO NY locations a MUST are Walter's Hot Dog Stand in Mamaroneck, NY and"
The FIRST is a season joint called Walter;'s Hot Dogs in Mamaroneck NY on Palmer Avenue - across from the back end of Mamaroneck HSIn existance for over 75 years - Walters is UNLIKE Nathan's. Couldn't tell ya the kind of dog they ysem but they grill those and the buns in butter. No relish, no kraut, no chili - justmustard, ketchup or their mustard mixfries are regular or sweet potato puffshttp://www.waltershotdogs.com/The SECOND is called Greasy Nicks - to the locals - - the sign reads LENO'S CLAM BAR755 Pelham RdNew Rochelle, NY 10805Because though they have a very limited menu, which consists of steamers, corn on the cob, burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers and a few other "greasy" bites ... they make them all well. Really really well. If you don't believe me, come by during the summer months when they're open and see how many of the outside seating tables are actually available. Try to get parking before someone snatches up that little corner table - your curiosity will get the better of you and you'll become ravenous about snagging a seat and placing your order as soon as possible.https://www.facebook.com/greasy.nicks
