"Book Trader Cafe in New Haven, CT"

Candice DiCiano

The Book Trader Cafe is a little place in downtown New Haven, CT. It is a place to eat and read/buy used books. They cater to the Yale students, professors and shop owners of the area. They make all their pastries, soups, and sandwiches on the premises. Their sandwich names are literary puns, with meat, vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options. They have some of the most delicious soups you will ever taste. They change every couple days and they always have a gluten free and vegan soup. Their pastries are delicious, known for their morning glory bread, mini-muffins, gluten free bread and vegan chocolate cake. The other half of the premises is dedicated to buying and selling used books. It is now the last used book store in the area. It has been part of the New Haven scene for almost twenty years. Definitely try and check it out!
