"Lucile's Creole Restaurant in Fort Collins, CO"

Tracy Parker

I lived in Fort Collins Colorado for 30 years, about 2 years ago I moved to Denver and ever since I left Fort Collins and miss Lucilles Creole. It has amazing food and great coffee. One of my favorites is the beignets. I've never had a chance to make it to New Orleans but this place makes me feel like I'm right there. Another favorite of mine is the fresh salads with a Turkey Sandwich served with a cranberry horseradish mayo. Lucilles is packed from the time they open to the time they close. They have two locations in Colorado with the 2nd being in Boulder. My mouth is watering just thinking about how great this place is and the atmosphere is just wonderful. If I never make it to New Orleans this place certainly makes me feel like I've experienced it in a little way.

Lucile's , 275 South Logan st, denver, co. 80209 This is the most Lucile's , 275 South Logan st, denver, co. 80209 This is the most incredible place!!! It is in a cute house in downtown denver! When you walk up you are greeted by the friendliest host (Matthew ) who will know your name after the 2nd or 3 rd time you have been there. It is usually a bit of a wait but not a problem because they have the best creole bloody Mary's I have ever had....the Cuban OJ is yummy too! It makes waiting such a pleasure. When you get your seat be prepared to waddle out. Start with a plate of beignets while you wait. Most meals come with the most amazing biscuit I have ever had....flaky, crunchy edges and it is huge!!! Added a side of their amazing sausage gravy and you could call it a day! But there are soo many other options pain Perdu is delicious and the choice of Benedict's ( I know you hate eggs but the variety is crazy!) Benedict with eggplant or oysters or or trout or of course they do the normal one. The shrimp and grits is yummy too!!! I have to admit I could live with the biscuit and side of gravy and a Bloody Mary .....makes Sundays worth waiting for!!!! It's the place you dream about all week!!
